Over 4000 words today! And it wasn't all that hard to write them, which is a good sign. I wanted to know what happened next, so I couldn't stop writing. That's the best kind of writing in my opinion; it also produces the best writing. Because if you want to know what happens next, the reader will too.
Of course I have to go back and edit it. So the words will diminish. And I don't know whether what I wrote actually makes sense, because I didn't go back through and read it. I just had to get the words down. Having a lot to say is also a good sign. You just have to be careful that the result doesn't seem too rushed, though. But that's less of a problem in an action story anyway; you don't want long flowery passages. You want quick, sharp successions of words.
